My name is Shelby Doyle, CEO and Photographer of Shel-Shel D Photography. Growing up was challenging for me, my brain is wired differently than the kids my age. I was bullied for the way my brain was different. Within the first few years of elementary school, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar 2 disorder. I was placed on medications and told to see a psychiatrist. Years go by, high school was the hardest time of my life. School staff would tell me I would not graduate or have a decent life. I started taking pictures to block out the voices, until one teacher, Ms. Jessica Segris (Delcastle social studies) took time to sit after school with me to work on bringing my grades up. I was able to graduate on time. If it wasn't for the one person who saw I had it in me, I wouldn't be where I am now. I took trauma I went through and turned it into a dream, and now a reality. My photography business is just not a business, it's a lifestyle to show that if someone or something prevents you from doing something, just know it is in fact possible!
